In Everest High Pass trek you will visit three different mountain passes of the Everest Region. The first is Kongma-La (5,535 meters / 18,159 feet); the second one is Cho-La, 5,420 meters / 17,780 feet high on the regular route to Everest Base Camp; and the last is Renjo-La, 5,360 meters / 17,585 feet high, near the end of the trek. Trekking through these passes requires an indomitable desire to overcome challenges, combined with a good level of stamina. And at the end of it all, you will realize that the effort was worth every bit. The trek will reward you with gorgeous views of the Everest Region. You will see glaciers, glacial lakes, and snowy landscapes as far as the eyes can behold. Some of the peaks visible in this route are Ama Dablam (6,312 meters / 20,700 feet), Cho Oyu (8,188 meters / 26,864 feet), Everest (8,848.86 meters / 29,031.7 feet), Lhotse (8,516 meters / 27,940 feet), Nuptse (7,861 meters / 25,791 feet), Thamserku (6,623 meters / 21,733 feet), among others. You will reach Kala Patthar (5,545 meters / 18,192 feet), Gokyo Lakes (4,790 meters / 15,700 feet), Gokyo-Ri (5,357 meters / 17,573 feet), and Ngozumpa Glacier-the largest glacier of Nepal, at an elevation of around 4,600 meters / 15,091 feet-on this adventurous trip. The trek generally takes 16 to 18 days, as it depends on the acclimatization schedules; hence, this is one of the most challenging yet rewarding trekking experiences in the Himalayas.
