Annapurna Base Camp Trek is one of the most popular trekking routes that take you to the foot of the Annapurna. It is a beautiful blend of diverse terrains, olden cultures, rich biodiversity, and a whole lot of mountain peaks.
A trek to Annapurna Base Camp (4,130 meters / 13,550 feet) will take you into the core region of the Annapurna range in western Nepal. This 11-day program reaches the base camp, stays a night beneath clear skies, and has this rare feeling of splendid isolation. From trekking through a variety of landscapes to seeing beautiful mountain vistas and capturing quaint Gurung villages-all in a region that is basically in the shadow of the world’s tenth- highest peak, Annapurna I (8,091 m / 26,545 ft).
Key stopping points include Tikhedhunga (1,540 meters / 5,050 feet), Ghorepani (2,875 meters / 9,429 feet), Tadapani (2,630 meters / 8,629 feet), and Machapuchare Base Camp (3,700 meters / 12,139 feet), among others; the duration may be extended up to 7-11 days according to a given pace and acclimatization. It provides views of Annapurna, Dhaulagiri (8,167 m / 26,795 feet), Machapuchare (6,993 meters / 22,943 feet), and several other peaks. The trek thus goes to be one of the most spectacular and culturally engaging ones in Nepal.
