Day 1Drive to Pokhara, west of the Kathmandu Valley.

After an early breakfast, we take a tourist bus from Kathmandu to Pokhara, covering a distance of 200 km in approximately 6 to 7 hours. The drive offers scenic views of the Trishuli and Marsyangdi rivers along the way. Upon reaching Pokhara, a beautiful valley set beside Phewa Lake, you’ll enjoy panoramic views of the Annapurna range, Machhapuchhre (Fishtail) to the north, Dhaulagiri to the west, and Manaslu and Lamjung Himal to the east. Known as Nepal’s tourism capital, Pokhara is a peaceful city full of modern comforts and natural charm.

Overnight stay at Silver Oaks Inn (room with attached bathroom). Breakfast included.

Day 2Drive from Pokhara to Dhampus (1,640m / 5,380ft) and trek to Deurali (2,100m / 6,889ft)

After an early morning breakfast in Pokhara, you will drive for about 2 hours to reach the village of Dhampus, the starting point of the trek. From here, the trail ascends gradually through traditional Brahmin, Magar, and Gurung villages, offering cultural insights and stunning views of the Annapurna mountain range. The hike continues through beautiful rhododendron forests, passing Pothana, before reaching Deurali (2,100m).

From Deurali, you’ll get your first close-up glimpse of the glaciers and snow-covered peaks of Annapurna South—a breathtaking sight to end the day.

  • You’ll stay overnight at a local lodge.
  • Included Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner

Day 3Trek from Deurali (2,100m) to Forest Camp (2,600m)

Today, we leave Deurali in the early morning and begin a steady uphill trek toward Forest Camp. The trail leads through dense forests filled with rhododendron, birch, oak, maple, and hemlock trees. Along the way, you may spot wildlife such as monkeys, deer, various bird species, and even leopards. After trekking approximately 6 km in 5 to 6 hours, we reach Forest Camp, a peaceful stop nestled in nature.

  • Overnight stay in a lodge
  • Included meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Day 4Trek from Forest Camp (2,600m) to High Camp (3,600m)

We continue our journey from Forest Camp to High Camp via Low Camp. Today’s 8.5 km trail takes around 4 to 5 hours, climbing steeply through dense forests before gradually opening up to meadows and scrubland. Along the way, we are treated to clear views of Machhapuchhre, the Annapurna Range, and the distant valley of Annapurna Base Camp. As we ascend further, the ridge narrows, revealing deep valleys on both sides—Modi Khola to the left and Mardi Khola and Seti River to the right. On clear days, even Pokhara Valley can be seen from the trail. We continue along the ridgeline to High Camp.

We hike along a narrow ridge to reach Mardi Himal Base Camp at 4,500 meters, where breathtaking views of Annapurna South and Machhapuchhre await. After spending time soaking in the beauty at the base camp, we descend back to High Camp for lunch, and then continue our descent to Low Camp for the night. Depending on the situation, we either stay in Landruk or head further to Jhinu Danda. At Jhinu Danda, you can relax in the natural hot springs—an ideal way to soothe tired muscles after several days of trekking. The total trekking distance is 12 km and takes around 7 hours.

Mardi Himal Trek Package Information

Arrival, Welcome, and Trek Start

Upon your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, a representative from Everest Destiny Trek will warmly welcome you with a traditional marigold garland and transfer you to your hotel in a private vehicle. Our complimentary airport pick-up and drop-off service is included for your convenience.

Please plan to arrive at least one day before your trek departure to attend the pre-trek briefing and complete final preparations. On the morning of the trek departure, around 7 am, you will board a tourist bus heading to Pokhara. Alternatively, you may opt to fly or hire private transport at an additional cost.

Accommodations

Your trek package includes five nights’ stay in comfortable lodges on a standard twin-sharing basis, and two nights at a hotel in Pokhara. The accommodations feature attached bathrooms, 24-hour hot water, and laundry facilities.

Lodges at higher elevations such as Forest Camp, High Camp, and Low Camp provide standard rooms, while Deurali and Jhino Danda offer rooms with attached bathrooms. Most lodges have electricity for charging devices, Wi-Fi access, and hot showers, though some services may incur extra charges.

Please note that accommodations and meals in Kathmandu are not included in this package. You will need to arrange at least two nights in Kathmandu separately.

To support better acclimatization, we recommend avoiding meat, dairy products, alcoholic beverages, caffeine, and hot chocolate during the trek.

Please note that hot drinks (tea/coffee), cold beverages, and alcoholic drinks are not included in the package.

Luggage

Porters will carry up to 18 kg of luggage for every two trekkers, so you only need to carry essentials in your daypack. We recommend partnering with another trekker to share a duffle bag of over 60 liters capacity.

Please pack only what is necessary for the trek. Any excess luggage can be stored safely either at our store or your hotel in Kathmandu.
